Good Lord, I can SO relate. I came home yesterday to a boy slumped in deep funk in front of the tv complaining of starvation. the fridge is full of cheese and baloney and apples, the cupboards with mac 'n cheese and ramen, but there is NOTHING to eat in the house. I took him to Ruby Tuesday's for mac & cheese. He was still hungry. Hit the drive thru at McD's for a chicken nugget meal. then after the dr's appt he devours a footlong meatball sub from Subway! I need a raise so I can feed this kid. Or he's gonna be out in the backyard grazing alongside the goat.
Do they teach this stuff to kids in the womb? Griff last night: I don't like carrots!! I don't want those!!! Me: You have to at least try it. Him: Can I have more of those?
Im back!! Checking blogs!!! Ive missed this so much...I feel like I have no idea what's going on in the world.
Love the Hiy-kooo (spelled phonetically because I will so get it wrong and there is no spell check in the comments). Also the pix over at Sophie's were so cute! I can't believe I missed that....(is it presumptuous to assume an invite would have been forthcoming had I been here??)
K, i have laundry to do and sand to vacuum out of the car. I will hopefully be blogging soon....
ugh...we had that this evening. can't believe it started at age three. but I was strong and he went to bed with nothing in his tummy (I refused to let him eat yogurt, cheese, tons of milk, goldfish crackers, or any of his other snacks). I'm debating on warming it up for him in the morning for breakfast...

Arggg!
Great Haiku, Madame! I can definitely relate! :)
Hope you had a wonderful birthday yesterday!
OH! I forgot to say thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes. It was truly a lovely day.
I love haikus! I've got to do this meme. And yes, I've had to ban these words from the dinner table.
Maybe he won't be saying that with all of the wonderful goodies that you brought home the other night!
That is an all too familiar haiku in my house. My kids are poets and they didn't know it!!
Brilliant! (And sadly so true in most of our households. We're going for PB&Js here for dinner tonight -- what can I say? They like it at least.)
