Do you know what happens when you write a post about how inconvenient your daughter's stomach bug is? The gods strike her with what is arguably the worst virus she's ever had. She hasn't kept anything down for more than two hours since Thursday before lunch.
This morning we went to the doctor, who said she's not dehydrated -- yet. She gave us a prescription for phenergen suppositories, which, YAY! Do you know how much a 2 year old LOVES a suppository? I told her it was medicine and would help her stop throwing up, but then she promptly pooped it out again about 10 minutes later. I didn't give her another one because she seemed to be keeping the gatorade and the popsicles down fairly well. We were at 3 hours, which is like, a record or something.
And then she threw up again. I talked to the pharmacist who said it was okay to give her another half suppository (since I'd only given her a half before), so YAY! again.
The doc said if she's still throwing up tomorrow we may need to do an IV and some blood tests, so keep us in your thoughts, please.
If you need me, I'll be trying to find something to flagellate myself with.

Oh, bless her heart and yours too!
There is a cream version of either phenegren/phenegen (something like that. You put a warm washcloth on the child's arm for a few minutes, then put the cream on and cover it with a band-aid. It does take a little longer but more convenient than a suppository.
Oh that sucks big time. Don't beat yourself up though. I had plans this morning and Boog literally started puking about the time I tried to load him in the carseat. And I spent a solid half an hour bitching about having to clean that car seat AGAIN.
And then when he continued to dry heave for much of the morning I felt terrible. He seems to be better. Here's hoping Punkin can start keeping stuff down.
Don't 'flagellate' yourself up! Any mom would have felt the same way.
Keep me posted on how y'all are doing-we'll be thinking about you. Please let me know if i can help.
Uh, that SUCKS! In fact, it SUCKY SUCK SUCKS. Ugh. Both of you deserve better than that.
I hope she's better by now.
Oh my goodness, poor little girl. Don't beat yourself up - we all think/say/blog those things. I hope she feels better soon!
Ooh, suppositories. Party time. You lucky girl, you.
