Why?

Why is that when you find one of your favorite movies on television and it comes to the absolute saddest part and you're getting ready to have yourself a nice little cry, why is that every member of your family, though they were all in other parts of the house just moments before, decide that they must speak with you at that very moment. (Fried Green Tomatoes, when Ruth dies. "Let her go. Miss Ruth was a lady and a lady always knows when to leave." sob)

Why is it that when you're about to start a more sensible eating plan (Hello Weight Watchers!) you feel like you're starving every second and could eat every morsel of food in the house?

Why is that in a really good western, the good guy has to die?

And finally, why is it that I always get sick on the weekend and never during the week so that I can have some time off?

I hear you on the sad movie thing. I hate to cry - and hate being caught at it even more.

Hope you're feeling better soon. Drat being sick. :(

Being sick sucks moose balls. SOrry you got it on your weekend. :(

You can try what I did - drink about a truckload of liquids and some OJ and take Zicm.. it knocked it out really quick! I felt awful on Friday, and by today I am almost back to normal.

Whenever I'm about to burst during a sad movie it's the phone that always rings. Even if it's just a telemarketer and I don't answer, still the moment is lost.

I'm considering a move from blogger, as well, though I think I'm going to go with just my own website. We'll see. I hope you find something that works for you. I'll certainly follow! :)

Why is it that when Mommy is watching the only television show she actually cares about, suddenly the entire house wants to tell her about their day? Makes. me. crazy.

Feel better soon. It does suck that your weekend was wasted on illness.

Why is it that if you and your husband are both sitting and reading he will find it necessary to read out loud to you and when he's done and you've just completed reading the same sentence for the third time he'll start back up again?

Feel better and pretend to be sick this week anyway. Go see a movie in the middle of the day. :)

:( I hope you're feeling better! I always wish my kids would be sick on the weekend cuz I get tired of using up my vacation days to stay home with cranky sick kids...but I'd rather be sick during the week because then I can use a Sick Day. ;)

I totally know what you mean about the sad movie/crying thing! Right when I'm at the start of a good cry, GR always walks in and spoils it all. "Are you CRYING?" he asks, like it's some kind of sin. Grrr.
