Do You Love Me?

Dear Blogger,

Okay, see, here's the thing. We've been together a while now and we've had some good times, right? Remember that first post? Gosh, I was sooo nervous that night. But lately, well, lately I've been feeling the need to stretch my wings a little. I'm growing, Blogger. I'm not the same person I used to be. And I just feel like I don't want to be tied down right now. It's not you. It's me. Okay, it IS you a little bit. It's just that you seem so old fashioned. And, um, "things" don't always work like they should, if you get my drift. So anyway, I think we need some time apart, Blogger. I think I want to see other people. But I'll always love you.

Sincerely,
Madame Queen

Now, gentle readers, where should I go? Wordpress? Typepad? Which do you use and do you have a preference?

I'm nervous about moving...will you guys follow me? I hope so. I haven't made up my mind 100% but I'm just frustrated by a lot of stuff right now. That little "What I'm listening to" icon at the top right? Well half the time when I look at it there's nothing to click. But then sometimes there is. Blogger help says I need to clear my cache to solve this problem, but I don't want to have to do that all the time. And what if you can't see anything up there. You might not know you need to clear your cache and then my blog just looks stupid.

So anyway, which should I choose? Bachelor #1 (Wordpress) or Bachelor #2 (Typepad). Or is there a Bachelor #3 that I don't even know about?

In honor of Valentine's Day tomorrow, I'm going to leave you with some pictures from Bubba's sweetheart dance today. Y'all, that was the sweetest, most fun thing I've ever done. You know it's love when you'll stand up and do the Chicken Dance and the YMCA with a group of 20 5-year-olds!

ok. When I saw that 'Dear John' letter I thought you were saying good-bye to blogging, not just blogspot. Whew.
I use blogspot so I have no helpful suggestion. I do hate how difficult it is to add pictures sometimes though.
That dance looks like it was probably a riot. Five year-olds hyped up on sugar dancing to Britney Spears? Wish I had been there.

Hmm . . . I've secretly been using Wordpress for a while now, trying to determine if I should just take the plunge. The fact that I can't for the life of me get a template I like unless I pay money (egads!) is what is stopping me. Lots of people are totally happy there, though.

OF COURSE I will continue to stalk you when you move. You're silly for even asking!

Love the photos. You're valentine is adorable.

I'm so slow. I'm finally adding you to the blogroll. Sorry for the delay.

I'm so happy I jumped ship & moved to WP. I love WP.

Hon, I'd follow you to the ends of the earth. Or Word Press, either way.

That dance is so cute! What a happy couple in the bottom photo. :)

Oh, so sweet!

I'm definitely a fan of WordPress. And never fear about your people following you...they WILL FOLLOW!

Just be sure to not shut down your blog over here, and as a last post, direct people to your new blog. My old Lulu's Laundry is still standing.

I have no basis for comparison, but WordPress has generally been good to me. Happy Valentine's Day - thanks for sharing the photos!

Breaking up on Valentines day??!! How cruel!

Anyway, In my brief stint with Wordpress (i haven't had to use it since hubby and I had the talk ;) I was impressed...they had good templates and Im pretty sure spell check worked all the time.

I used Wordpress online at first. http://impostormom.wordpress.com/ Then I switched to a self-hosted Wordpress site.

I liked Wordpress online a lot but I love the hosted version and I figure the price of the hosting and domain name is minimal. Plus because it's MY site there are no restrictions about javascript and other such nonsense.

The dance looks like it was lots of fun.

how sweet are those pictures???

I'm almost glad I didn't see Gavin's Valentine's day party pictures...he came home so hopped-up on sugar that I swore he was drunk! I'm not sure I could handle 29-3 year olds!!! ;)

And I have Wordpress. My hubby who does all my IT-admin work for it seems to like it...he's impressed with out much it has (of course his blog is completely 100% built from scratch...because he's an overachiever like that).
And I like that it's nice-looking yet dumbed-down enough for me to get around it. ;)
