So, I've been reading a lot of style blogs lately. I'm trying to find ways to punch up my current wardrobe or mix and match new things because we're on such a tight budget. And the thing I'm noticing on almost all of them is purses. As in more than one. As in people have more than one.
I mean I do have more than one, but I don't switch them out on a daily basis. Hell, half the time I can barely remember to grab my purse as I head out the door, much less have time to transfer all my crap into a new one.
What about you? Do you swap out your purses? I'm curious.

All.The.Time. It's a sickness really.
I totally swap out my purses! But it's much easier with a purse liner. They are these expensive bag things that you can stick your small stuff in (like chapstick, and...well I don't know what normal people put in theirs but I have a mini Lysol, sunblock stick, Benadryl to go, floss, hand sanitizer, etc) and then you just put the whole bag in the new purse plus your wallet and cell phone. I am way too cheap to buy a purse liner so I use a ziplock bag. It looks like I'm going to the airport, but it works the same (if not better- it's see through!) and you don't feel guilty if something spills and you have to replace it!
I hope you've been reading MY style blog! ;)
I have a regular bag and a closet full of bags I've collected over the years. I swap out when I have the time, which is not often! I do like to choose a good bag for date nights.
I do swap out my purses, but it's really just between a brown purse and a black purse. It's easy for me, I barely have anything in the huge purses I carry!
I'm with Fannie.
and I have so many purses I could start a purse library. call me girl, we'll get you done up!
Same purse all. the. time. Except when I don't carry a purse and just throw my wallet into my knitting bag. But, if you want to start changing purses without actually changing purses check out Miche Bags - you change the cover and the rest stays the same. Don't really know the cost, but I have several friends that use them.
I haven't carried a purse in over a year. I gave it up (yes, only one) for a camera bag. I suppose the style mavens would think it horrendous that I have a Coach purse packed in a box while I carry around a tacky-looking backpack, but function over beauty, baby.
I don't think I got any style genes. I carry a leather backpack most of the time, but have an old ratty purse that I carry to the grocery store, etc. I think I'd feel overwhelmed if I had to make purse choices every day. I have a hard enough time with shoes!
I don't have the time to be that style conscious. I know that a lot of women do that, but it just isn't practical for me. So I use my purse until I get tired of it and then I'll switch. I don't even care if it's brown and my shoes are black. (Okay, I care a little, but not enough to do anything about it. And it was definitely a learned response to care even a little!)
As much as I love purses, I never switch mine until they wear out. Sad fact of life.
The only person who changes out purses at our house is our stylish 7 year old! I have a big momma bag I cart around - the kind that hold silly bandz, a baggie of goldfish and a juice box, a match box car, hand sanitizer..........and occasionally I can actually find a wallet in there!
I gave up on style a long time ago. But then, even at the height of my style I was a grunge teenager - purses weren't the thing then either!
I have a few that I switch between, that I picked up at Ross Dress for Less - I like purses in colours that aren't colours I wear, necessarily, so they add a "pop of colour" (as the style mavens would say).
